The total voters in Uttar Pradesh has increased by over 10 lakhs during the summary revision. Now the total number of voters in UP has reached over 15.35 crore.The net total increase in the voter list was 10,24,299 as a total of 18,85,446 voters’ names have been added during this revision and 8,61,147 voters name were deleted.

State Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa informed here on Tuesday that among the added new voters are 8,90,546 male, 9,94,792 female and 108 third gender voters. At present there are a total of 1,62,462 polling places in the state. At the start of the revision, the total number of voters in the state was 15,25,13,131, which has now increased to 15,35,37,430, on the publication of the electoral rolls today.

CEO said that at the time of start of the revision of electoral rolls , the gender ratio was 874, which became 876 , an increase by 02 points. A total of 4.84 lakh names of voters in the age group of 18-19 years were added which is 25.68% of the total names added. At present the total number of voters in the age group of 18-19 years in the electoral roll is 16.23 lakh. In order to ensure the accuracy of the voter list, names of a total of 8.61 lakh voters of various categories have been deleted during this revision period. A total of 3.07 lakh were deleted in deceased category, 3.96 lakh in shifted category and 1.48 lakh in repeated category. Currently a total of 12.83 lakh disabled voters are identified on the ERO net.
